Chairman Tegletija Talks with Chancellor Merkel

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija had a phone conversation with Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Angel Merkel. 

The talks were held ahead of the July 5 Berlin Process Summit in Berlin, upon an initiative by Chancellor Merkel. They discussed the up-coming Summit and the future of enlargement of Europe.

Chairman Tegletija expressed his gratitude for a continuous support of Germany to the European integrations of BIH, and commended the Berlin Process initiative, hopeful that the July 5 Summit would be one more confirmation of dedication of both region and the European Union to the enlargement process and accession of the Western Balkan countries to the EU.

Chairman Tegeltija stressed the commitment of the BIH institutions to the European road, as well as to connectedness and improvement of regional cooperation, which, as he stressed, showed its importance during the corona virus pandemics.

At the end of talks, they jointly expressed satisfaction with the relations of Germany and BIH thus far, and pointed at a possibility for further improvement of cooperation in the area of joint interest. (end)
