Chairman Tegeltija with WB Director for Western Balkans Region Xiaoqing Yu

Chairman Tegeltija thanked to the WB Director for support the World Bank has been extended to Bosnia and Herzegovina for the past 30 years, in total amount of US 2.5 billion, through 81 projects. Besides, the Wold Bank has administered grant funds by various donors in amount of about USD 500 million.
The meeting discussed several development projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina on-going or in negotiation phase.
Chairman Tegeltija said challenges of the past two years, driven by the Corona virus pandemics, made us take good care and analyse economic trends, in addition to undertaking necessary structural reforms implementation, in order to make our economy more independent and resilient to external shocks. In addition, inflatory pressures and energy crisis has opened new topics, which had to be prioritised and which will be certainly dealt with commonly in the next year.
The World Bank Director concluded that the World Bank would continue to be a partner to Bosnia and Herzegovina in implementation of policies and projects implementation, as set forth by the 2022-2026 State Partnership Framework. (end)
