The purpose of creation of the new public procurement law is to simplify procedure and decrease costs for tenderers, in line with European Directives, in addition to a faster, more effective and transparent public sector functioning.

Chairman Tegeltija stressed that he sees no reason why the law should not be endorsed, for it is of interest of the whole business community and BIH public sector, and he thanked to experts from Republika Srpska and the Federation of BIH for their engagement in legislative solution-finding aiming the promotion of business and economic ambience in BIH.

The working version of the BIH Public Procurement Law, presented to the meeting today, will be provided to all responsible bodies and institutions for further consideration and refinement, and subsequently sent to regular parliamentarian procedure.
