Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija talked in Sarajevo with Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund Andrew Juel.

The meeting discussed possibility of continued cooperation, and implementation of reform measures, in line with constitutive competences of all levels of government and Dayton Peace Agreement, aiming a boost of economic activities in BHI and attraction of foreign and comestic direct investments.

Chairman Tegetija expressed his dissatisfaction for non-existing BIH arrangement with the IMF currently, saying that an increased readiness is required to conclude the arrangement with this international financial organisation, especially more readiness for talks and real aims and policy for their implementation, and without political conditioning.

They exchanged views on other economic issues, in the context of overcoming the global economic crisis, caused by a surge of energy prices and food prices, resulting in increased inflation in all counties around the world. (end)
