Chairman Tegeltija with IMF Director for Europe Kammer

They discussed the current situation with the on-going pandemics in Bosnia and Herzegovina and its consequences to administrative, health and economic system in the country. Chairman Tegeltija said that the current situation demands a full engagement of all-level authorities, and population, as well, in order to contain the spread of virus and prevent an undesired outbreak of it. Adding that none wants a new closure, which would have devastating effects to economy, he appealed to citizens to comply with measures imposed by responsible authorities.
Chairman Tegeltija declared an interest of BIH to continue cooperation with IMF through launching negotiations on a new arrangement. He said that the new arrangement with this financial institution would help overcome economic and social crisis caused by Corona virus pandemics.
The meeting was attended by BIH Central Bank Governor Senad Softić.
