Chairman Tegeltija with Executive Director of IMF and WB

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija talked in Sarajevo with Executive Directors representing Bosnia and Herzegovina at the International Monetary Fund and World Bank, Paul Hilbers and Koen Davidse, respectively. 

The meeting discussed the current and future activities of these international financial institutions in BIH and implementation of reform measures in accordance with constitutional responsibilities of all government levels in BIH, for the aim of boosting economic activities, and further infrastructure development and investments attraction.

They concluded that inflatory pressures and energy crisis that took almost all European countries, including BIH, require an urgent reaction and effective policies, supportive to citizens in maintaining the level of living standard they have achieved, and that measures implemented thus far by BIH authorities were good response to the first wave of such crisis.

Chairman Tegeltija thanked to the Executive Directors for the IMF and World Bank support to Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially for their support during the Corona virus pandemics.

The IMF and World Bank Executive Directors Paul Hilbers and Robert Davidse, respectively, said they were pleased with project and policy implementation thus far, that were realised with support of both IMF and World Bank, announcing support to BIH authorities in implementation of needed structural reforms in the future period of time.(end)
