Chairman Tegeltija with Entity Prime Ministers on Coronavirus Outbreak

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija talked today in Sarajevo with Prime Ministers of Republika Srska Radovan Višković and the Federation of BIH Fadil Novalić on the current developments concerning the outbreak of the coronavirus. 

The meeting, which was also attended by Minister of Civil Affairs of BIH Ankica Gudeljević and Minister of Security of BIH Fahrudin Radončić, discussed additional measures for the prevention of spreading and suppression of the Covid-19 disease. A recommendation was given to the Minister of Security to introduce a temporary ban of entry to BIH for foreign citizens arriving from the areas with an intensive coronavirus transmission.

The ban refers to persons who stayed in Italy and in some provinces of the Peoples’ Republic of China, South Korea and Iran.

The meeting stressed that epidemic situation in the country is not dramatic and that responsible institutions take all required precaution measures, in line with recommendation of WHO epidemiologists. An appeal was sent to all citizens to stick to instructions by Ministries of Health and health institutions, including to avoid travelling to the counties with a high coronavirus transmission.
