Chairman Tegeltija with EC President Von der Leyen

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija talked in Sarajevo with President of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von Der Leyen on the European path of BIH. 

This occasion, Chairman Tegeltija briefed President Von der Leyen on achievements made under the European integrations process, stressing that the European integrations remain the foreign policy priority of BIH Institutions. He said that all political participants see the future of BIH in the EU, yet the accession process requires adherence to constitutional competences by all-level authorities and a wide political consensus.

Chairman Tegeltija welcomed a recommendation by the European Commission for awarding a candidate status to BIH, emphasising it as an additional incentive for continuation of the on-going reform processes in BIH.

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers thanked to President of the European Commission Von der Leyen to a continuous assistance and support to BIH, and stressed that the  Council of Ministers remains a reliable pater of the European Commission.

Chairman Tegeltija and President Von der Leyen solemnly opened the Ivan Tunnel at the Tračin-Ivan Section of the Corridor V c. (end)
