Chairman Tegeltija with Ambassador of Italy
05/05/2021
They noted that the relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Italy are good, friendly and without outstanding issues, adding that space is open for promotion of cooperation in the areas of economy, culture, education, linkage of cities and regions, joint actions through international organisations, and encouragement of direct contacts of businessmen and citizens.
Chairman Tegletija said Italy is one of the most important foreign trade partners of our country, underlining that over 70 Italian companies are active in BIH, which ranks this country among major investors to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He said that the number might well be even higher, considering possibilities and capital Italy has at its disposal, as well as geographical proximity, production capacities, and, especially, natural resources of BIH. He pointed at the importance of boosting further economic cooperation, especially in industry sectors (metal, automobile and wood industry), in addition to agriculture (bio-food production), construction and tourism.
Chairman Tegeltija thanked to Ambassador Minasi and the Republic of Italy for support and assistance made to date to Bosnia and Herzegovina, pointing that BIH remains committed to its European road and continuation of reforms to benefit citizens in BH, with a full respect of its constitutional arrangements.
