Chairman Tegeltija Talks with World Bank Representatives

The meeting discussed the 2022-2026 Framework Partnership with BIH, current economic situation in BIH, caused by corona virus, and further activities in the light of future cooperation with this financial institution.
On this occasion, Chairman briefed the World Bank representatives on direction of the Council of Ministers’ actions in the period to come. Also, they discussed possibilities of the use of new financial instruments, support to the health sector, severely hit by the corona virus pandemics, as well as possible support in realisation of infrastructure projects.
They jointly concluded that the three main World Bank programmes of activities in BIH in 2002-2026, will be in connection with the health sector reform, in addition to state-own enterprises reform and green transition programme, implying a special air quality programme. A special attention will be paid to enable harnessing of private sector potentials for a fast growth and creation of new jobs, investment to human capital, and environmental protection management, for the purpose of sustainable development.
The meeting pointed out that the cooperation of the Council of Ministers and the World Bank has been good so far, and a readiness was emphasised for the continuation of cooperation in the future period of time.
