Chairman Tegeltija Talks with USAID Mission Director

The meeting discussed the topical economic issues in the context of overcoming the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemics, in addition to realised projects and promotion of cooperation through implementation of joint projects.
Director Eslick briefed Chairman Tegeltija of the new five-year USAID strategy for cooperation with BIH, which stresses the importance of the socio-economic recovery, strengthening of e-government and fight against human trafficking.
Chairman Tegeltija assessed the cooperation to-date with USAID as very productive one, thanking to a timely response of American Government and USAID Mission in BIH and to American support to BIH in overcoming challenges in containing Covid-19 pandemics, despite the global crisis that took all counties.
In the context of the new five-year strategy, Chairman Tegeltija noted the importance of socio-economic recovery from pandemics aftermath, welcoming the approach of the US Government and USAID, and announced readiness for an active cooperation of the Council of Ministers to joint project implementation within the said document.
They both expressed their confidence that with the realisation of various projects relevant to BIH citizens the successful cooperation would be continued in future. (end)
