Chairman Tegeltija Talks with US President Special Envoy Escobar

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija talked in Sarajevo with Deputy Assistant US Secretary of State in Euro-Asian Affairs Bureau, and of the US President Special Envoy for Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar on the current political developments in BIH and the region. 

Chairman Tegletija stressed, on this occasion, a dedication of BIH Institutions to the European road, with a full compliance to Constitutional competences of all-level authorities and respect of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

Chairman Tegeltija pointed at a need for an internal dialogue and agreement by political representatives in BIH, and underlined that the annulment of the former High Representative-imposed decision would create preconditions for a normal functioning of all institutions, emphasising that a treat by sanctions to anyone would not contribute to the current problem-solving in BIH.

The meeting, attended by US Ambassador in BIH Eric Nelson, exchanged views on other topical issues. (end)
