Chairman Tegeltija Talks with RCC Delegation

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija talked today with a delegation of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), led by RCC Secretary General Mailinda Bregu. 

The meeting discussed the current political and economic issues in BIH and the South East Europe in the light of the regional cooperation development and up-grading.

Chairman Tegeltija stressed the commitment of the Council of Ministers to give maximum contribution, within its competences, to improvement of regional cooperation, emphasising a need for more intensive relations with the countries of the region for the aim of economic progress though facilitation of the EU four freedoms, launching of a vibrant investment cycle and approximation and accession to the European Union.

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers welcomed an announcement of plans for inclusion of the Western Balkans into the EU Green Agenda, hoping that the announced Economic Plan for Western Balkans to be presented soon, would be of a great significance for starting-up a strong and voluminous investment cycle in the context of rehabilitation from the pandemic-caused crisis and gradual recovery of economy.

The meeting exchanged views on a “Mini Schengen” initiative, which Chairman Tegeltija supported as the project of economic importance, hopeful that a consensus on acceding to it would be achieved quickly.

The meeting discussed other topical issues in BIH and the region, and Chairman Tegeltija expressed his gratitude for support of RCC in realisation of activities relevant to BIH citizens, including bolster economic and other ties within the Western Balkans region.
