Chairman Tegeltija Talks with Prime Minister Kovačevski in London

On this occasion, Chairman Tegeltija congratulated to Prime Minister Kovačevski for his appointment for Prime Minister, wishing him a successful term, and said he expects the bilateral cooperation between the friendly countries would continue to advance in the interest of all peoples. Chairman Tegeltija stressed the foreign exchange between the two countries marks a continuous growth over the past several years, and pointed a need for a better infrastructure and regional links for the sake of improvement of economic activities with the Western Balkan countries.
They also exchanged opinions on prospects of the Western Balkan countries as to the EU membership, and on strengthening of stability and prosperity of the region. Chairman Tegeltija pointed at a relevance of exchange of experience in view of the EU accession process, since the North Macedonia enjoys the EU candidate status from 2005. (end)
