Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija talked in Sarajevo with Special Envoy of Great Britain Prime Minister for the Western Balkans Stuart Peach.

Chairman Tegeltija briefed British Envoy Peach of the current political and economic developments in BIH, emphasising that internal dialogue only, in good faith and mutual understanding, with respect to the Dayton Agreement, is a key for long-time success of BIH and the only way to secure stability and progress of the country.

Chairman Tegeltija pointed that taking any sanctions against anyone in BIH is unnecessary, especially against legally elected representatives.

He stressed that peace and stability in BIH have not been threatened, and no parallel is possible to make between Ukraine and BIH, therefore putting in context the situation in Ukraine with BIH is unacceptable and unallowable.

Speaking of cooperation between BIH and the United Kingdom, Chairman Tegeltija assessed that political relations between the two countries and good and friendly, and that there is space for strengthening of economic cooperation, after the United Kingdom left the European Union.

Stressing a commitment of the Council of Ministers for the European path, Chairman Tegeltija, thanked to the Government of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland for its continued assistance and support to Bosnia and Herzegovina. (end)
