Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija talked today in Sarajevo with Foreign Minister of the Hellenic Republic Nikos Dendias on the current political and economic situation in BIH and the region, focusing at consequences caused by Covid-19 pandemics. 

Chairman Tegeltija expressed his pleasure with the call of Minister Dendais, stressing that it represents a strong boost to improvement of cooperation and intensification of dialogue between the two countries.

Chairman Tegletija pointed at the relevance for BIH of the continuous support of Greece within the European Union in all subsequent phases of the accession, stressing that he appreciates highly the efforts of Greece to point at the importance of EU enlargement to the Western Balkans countries.

Chairman Tegeltija underlined that the Council of Ministers of BIH, with due respect  of the BIH Constitution, Dayton Peace Agreement and the competences of all-level authorities in BIH, remains committed to the European integrations, assessing that it is the right way for economic and democratic development of the society.

Referring to the pandemics caused by Covid-19, the meeting expressed its expectation for the vaccine procurement process through COVAX programme would be stabilised as soon as possible, both in the EU and beyond, and Minister Dendias pointed out at the readiness of his country to assist BIH in this matter.

The meeting exchanged opinions and experiences on topical issues concerning the migrant crisis, and pointed at a need for deepening economic cooperation between the two countries in the areas of shared interest.
