Chairman Tegeltija talks with IOM Director General Vitorino

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija talked in New York with Director General of the International Organisation for Migrations (IOM) Antonio Vitorino. 

Chairman Tegeltija briefed the IOM Director of the current developments in BIH as to migrant crisis, and they exchanged opinions on possibilities to further improvement of cooperation of the international organisation with the BIH Institutions.

Chairman Tegeltija noted commitment of the BIH Institutions to continue, in line with their respective competences, to provide humanitarian support to all migrants in need, stressing that the migrants use BIH as a transit area.

Chairman Telgetija pointed at security challenges met by BIH citizens when in question illegal migrants, underlining a need for improvement and more coordinated cooperation of security agencies and relevant institutions in the region and beyond.

They exchanged views on other topical issues related to migrations.(end)
