Chairman Tegeltija Talks with Head of CE Office Uromova

Wishing Urumova welcome, Chairman Tegeltian assessed that the cooperation to-date between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Office of the Council of Europe was good, and he expressed his hope that it will be so in future, too.
He meeting exchanged views on current topics in the light of both rehabilitation from the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemics and overcoming the issue of illegal migrations.
Chairman Tegeltija briefed Head of CE Office Urumov of the activities the Council of Ministers takes, within its responsibilities and in cooperation with Governments of Republika Srpska and the Federation of BIH, respectively, to save health of citizens and start economic activities.
When it comes to the issue of illegal migrations, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers said that the migrant crisis presents a huge security problem for BIH, and reiterated the importance of coordination and cooperation of all security agencies in the region.
The meeting also discussed a need for implementation, on the part of BIH, of awards of the European Court for Human Rights.
The meeting stressed a need for further promotion of cooperation between BIH institutions and the Office of the Council of Europe in BIH.
