Chairman Tegeltija Talks with Foreign and Trade Minister of Hungary

Chairman Tegletija concluded that relations between BH and Hungary are good and intensifying in all areas. He stressed that the two friendly counties have no outstanding issues and expressed readiness for further development of bilateral relations in mutual interest.
Chairman Tegeltija thanked to Hungary for a continued support to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European road and welcomed the new European Commission proposal for improvement of the accession process – Credible EU Perspective for Western Balkans, pointing his hope that the methodology would yield new and stronger impetus to the EU enlargement process.
Chairman Tegeltija extended a special thanks to the Hungarian Government for support to date in cpntaining corona virus, by way of valuable grants of in protective equipment, PCR tests and vaccines.
The meeting, in the light of today’s regional conference on migrations, discussed migrations problem-solving. Chairman Tegeltija stressed that BIH holds a too heavy burden of the crisis, and requires a strong support from the EU and whole international community in curbing up migrant movements towards BIH.
Chairman Tegletija briefed his guest on internal relations in BIH, stressing a need for political crisis in BIH to be solved through an internal dialogue, without solutions imposition from outside, and with compliance to constitutional competences of all-level authorities in BIH and the Dayton Peace Agreement, as well.
