Chairman Tegeltija Talks with EBRD President Basso

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija talked via video-link with a delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), led by EBRD President Oddie Renaud Basso. 

The meeting, at which Minister of Finance and Treasury of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda took part, discussed the realisation of projects aiming to improve business ambience and increase economy competitiveness, in addition to development of energy and transport sectors, and programme development of energy efficacy.

Chairman Tegeltija pointed at the commitment of the Council of Ministers to act pursuant to measures defined under the Reform Agenda, with a full respect to competences of all-level authorities in BIH, and to continue diligent work on overcoming economic consequences of the corona virus pandemics and implementation of measures to stimulate economic activities, including realisation of energy and infrastructure projects.

EBRD representatives expressed their readiness to actively support, through the existing and new financial programmes, those programmes which are directed to the improvement of business environment, especially when it comes to SMEs, energy sector and transport infrastructure.

On this occasion, it was assessed that the cooperation of BIH and the EBRD to-date was successful, and the joint attitude was that priorities and consequently coordination activities should be defined in order to secure various sources of support for implementation of strategically important projects.
