Chairman Tegeltija Talks with Commissioner Varhelyi

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija talked in Sarajevo with Commissioner for Neighbourhood and EU Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi. 

 

The meeting, attended by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Finance and Treasury of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda and Minister of Security of BIH Selmo Cikotić, discussed the current political developments and economic situation in BIH and the region, as well as European integrations process.

Chairman Tegeltija thanked to Commissioner Varhelyi for his continuous engagement and support to BIH in the EU integrations process and his support towards prosperous future of the Western Balkans region, emphasising that the stable and prosperous Balkans is in the interest of all. In that context, Chairman Telgetija stressed the importance of the Western Balkans Economic and Investment Plan implementation, targeting economic challenges caused by the coronavirus pandemics, and also improving citizens’ quality of life.

At the meeting, discussing the current political challenges in BIH, Chairman Tegeltija stressed a need for internal dialogue, without threats and imposed solutions, as well as consistent respect of the Dayton Peace Agreement. (end)
