Chairman Tegeltija Talks with Commissioner Varhelyi

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija talked in Sarajevo with EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi on reforms and the EU integrations process of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

The meeting was followed by a meeting of Chairman Tegeltija, Prime Minister of the Federation of BIH Fadil Novalić, President of the Government of Republiak Srpska Radovan Višković, and Brčko District of BIH Mayor Siniša Milić with Commissioner Varhelyi.

During his visit, Commissioner Varhelyi presented a Western Balkans Economic and Investment Plan.

Chairman Tegletija stated that at the meeting with Commissioner Varhelyi, a confirmation was received about a dedication for BIH to get the candidate status by the summer 2021.

“What is important for us is that deliberation on European integrations plan for the Western Balkans match with positions of BIH authorities, namely, the long-term economic recovery and development, regional economic integrations, support to green and digital transition, and pushing forward projects connected with the regional cooperation”, Chairman Tegeltija stated at a press conference following the meeting.

He added that BIH is expected to secure marco-fiancial support within up-comign years.

“It is about loans. However, as to loan terms, prices and money safety, it is relevant to us to reach an agreement on the arrangement”, Chairamn Tegeltija said.
