Chairman Tegeltija Talks with Cardinal Puljić

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija talked in Sarajevo with Cardinal of Vrhosanska Diocese Vinko Puljić on the current Hhealth-epidemiologic situation in BIH in the context of contribution of religious communities to preserving citizens’ health. 

On this occasion, Chairman Tegeltija briefed cardinal Puljić of the measures the BIH Institutions took up in prevention of corona virus outbreak and to preserve lives and heath of citizens, and assessed that all decisions taken yielded good results.

An appeal was sent to all citizens to comply with all recommendations of the responsible institutions when it comes to protection form virus.

The interlocutors agreed that the consequences of the corona virus have not by-passed religious institutions either, and in that context Chairman Tegeltija pointed at a need for solidarity and social sensitivity of all BIH institutions towards religious communities in BIH.

The meeting emphasised that the religious freedoms are very important for every democratic society in which all religious community enjoy the equal treatment. Chairman Tegeltija reiterated , on this occasion too,  that the Council of Ministers supports every activity aiming promotion of good  relations and creation of positive ambience for the co-existence of different religious communities in BIH.
