Chairman Tegeltija Talks with Ambassador of Russian Federation in BIH

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija talked in Sarajevo with Ambassador of the Russian Federation in BIH Igor Kalbuhov on the current political and economic situation in BIH and the region. 

Chairman Tegletija noted that the Russian Federation is one of the most important foreign trade partners and investors in BIH. He emphasised a need for improvement of relations between business communities, which create a unique instrument necessary for further expansion of trade and economic cooperation, and in that context he welcomed conclusions of October 29, 2021 meeting of the Russian Federation-BIH Trade and Economic Cooperation Committee Co-Chairs.

They jointly assessed that there is a potential for further promotion of cooperation in the areas of education, culture and science, and a shared interest was expressed for holding inter-governmental meetings in various formats, aiming intensification of the trade and economic cooperation.

Speaking of the topical political situation in BIH and the region, Chairman Tegeltija underlined the importance of intensification of political dialogue, along with a consistent respect of the Dayton Peace Agreement. (end)
