Chairman Tegeltija Talks with Ambassador of Republic of Belarus

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija talked today in Sarajevo with Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandar Ponomarev, non-resident ambassador, with his seat in Budapest. 

The meeting discussed the current political and economic developments in BIH and the region, with a special focus to effects of the corona virus pandemics and the problem of illegal migrations.

Chairman Tegeltija briefed Ambassador Ponomarev of activities the Council of Ministers takes, in accordance with its competences, and in cooperation with Governments of Republika Srpska and the Federation of BIH, in order to protect health of citizens and restart economic activity.

When it comes to the issue of illegal migrations, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers said that the migrant crisis represents a huge security problem for BIH, and reiterated the importance of coordination and cooperation of all security agencies in the region.

They meeting joint assessed that the political relations of the two countries are good and without outstanding issues, and that there is a enough space for promotion of economic cooperation of mutual interest.
