Chairman Tegeltija Talks with Advisor to Chancellor Merkel

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija talked today with Jan Hecker Foreign Policy Advisor to Chancellor Angela Merkel. 

The meeting discussed the topical issues concerning the migrant crisis in BIH, with a focus at finding the best solution for accommodation of migrants.

The jointly concluded that for the purpose of preventing humanitarian, epidemiologic and other consequences,  the opening of the “Bira” campus is seen at present as the best solution for accommodation of migrants for a four-month period of time, as long as needed for setting-up an accommodation centre for migrants at “Lipa” location, after which the “Bira” would be closed permanently.

Chairman Tegeltija stressed a need for continued negotiations with authorities of the Unsko-Sanski Canton about finding the best solution for accommodation of migrants.

On this occasion, Chairman Tegeltija thanked to Chancellor Merkel and to Germany for the support extended to BIH in its efforts to solve problems concerning migrant crisis.
