Chairman Tegeltija Sends a List of Priority Infrastructure Project to European Commission

The single list of priority infrastructure projects focuses at transport and energy projects, as these projects should support the start-up economic activities, promote trade flows, create jobs, and improve the quality of life of citizens.
The development of the Western Balkans Economic and Investment Plan was announced by the European Commission in the Zagreb Summit Declaration of May 6, 2020, aiming to realise a long-term support to economic recovery, by inciting economic growth, promotion of competitiveness, and ultimately, approximation of the region to the European Union.
Aware of the importance of the initiative in the context of recovery and mitigation of Covid-19- caused crisis and efforts towards economic recovery implying a launch of an investment cycle, the BIH Investments Committee, chaired over by Chairman of the Council of Ministers Zoran Tegeltija, set priority projects to serve as an initial guideline for defining the Western Balkans Economic and Investment Plan to have a major effect to the country’s socio-economic development in general, as well as sizable contribution to the fulfilment of aims connected with the European Union accession by Bosnia and Herzegovina.
