Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegletija talked in separate meetings in Washington, IMF Deputy Managing Director Bo Li, WB Executive Director and Executive Board Member Koen Davidse, and IMF Executive Director and Executive Board Member Paul Hilbers.

Chairman Tegletija stated after the meetings with IMF and WB delegations that discussions on IMF stand-by arrangement is of the prime importance for BIH, since we have no one for several year now, while the cooperation with the World Bank unfolds well.

Under conditions of global crisis, interest rates surge, as do process of global capital, so resources that may be offered by the IMF are on more favourable terms also for BIH, and they will be certainly needed for projects financing.

He said that estimates suggest that year 2022 will mark negative trends in all economies in the world, as a consequence of energy and food prices, with expectations for both the world economy and national economies to start recovering by the end of this year.
