Chairman Tegeltija Hosting Prime Minister of Montenegro Krivokapić (VIDEO)

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija welcomed in Sarajevo, with the highest state honours, President of the Government of Montenegro Zdravko Krivokapić, who led the Montenegrin delegation in an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

Following a tet-a-tet meeting of Tegeltija and Krivokapić, the delegations of BIH and Montenegro held a meeting, discussing bilateral relations, regional cooperation, and the European road of both BIH and Montenegro, in addition to fight against Corona virus pandemics.

The relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro are friendly and without any outstanding issues, Chairman Tegeltija stated at a press conference after the meeting with Prime Minister Krivokapić and the two delegations.

He said that a solution-finding was defined today for the issue of toll at the Trebinje-Herceg Novi road section, as it had been early agreed.

The priority in the two countries’ bilateral relations is economy, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH said, adding that the epidemiologic situation has had a negative impact to foreign trade exchange of the two countries.

He underlined that, in the interest of citizens and business subjects, efforts will be continued to facilitate crossing of the BIH-Montenegro border, and that among priorities there is the connecting of Sarajevo and Podgorica, especially at the Foča-Šćepan Polje road section.

President of the Government of Montenegro Krivokapić confirmed that smoother crossing of borders and economic cooperation are the priorities.

We have to make this region different, and it can be only done through strengthening of economy and elimination of all obstacles, Prime Minister Krivokapić said, and called upon BIH citizens to spend their summer vacation at the Montenegrin see cost.

He expressed his pleasure with his visit to Sarajevo, stressing that it was his first visit within the region.
