Chairman Tegeltija at Videoconference within Berlin Process on Western Balkans

In his address to the Summit, Chairman Tegletija pointed out at the importance of the Berlin Process, which focuses the dialogue to key topics and challenges in the region and incites a frank and constructive talks on all issues important to citizens of the Western Balkans.
“I am convinced that today’s Summit would reaffirm the commitment of all of us to work diligently and strengthen partner relations, which, I am positive, would incite further to work more and better, so that genuine efforts and diligent work would yield concrete results. A strong, stable and prosperous Western Balkans is the mutual interest, both of the EU and Western Balkan countries. We are linked with the European Union by numerous unbreakable bonds, geographical, social, cultural”, Chairamn Tegletija said.
Expressing his gratitude to the Republic of Germany to organisation of today‘s event and for a long-year continuous engagement as to the European future of the Western Balkans, Chairman Tegeltija suggested that the creation of more attractive and competitive Western Balkans lies with economic integration, infrastructure improvements and any other connectedness, in addition to the regional one.
He stressed that the corona virus pandemics has, inevitably, predominant effect at all processes and decision-making over the last year and half, stressing that “this global challenge reminded us how depended we all are on each other and how directed we are to each other, therefore without solidarity and coordinated action it is not possible to achieve sustainable results.”
In that context, Chairman Tegeltija underlined that achieving a long—term economic stability in the post-Covid era is in the focus more than ever.
In his address, Chairman Tegeltija pointed that instruments for a sustainable economic growth, improvement of ambience and life quality of citizens are elements of the Economic and Investment Plan for Western Balkans, Green Agenda for Western Balkans, Common Regional Market and other mutually connected initiatives, offering a great potential for region’s progress in approximating the EU internal market.
The Chairman of the Council of Ministers referred to the commitment of BIH Institutions for continuation of dialogue, both within the Western Balkans and with the European Union, together with strengthening of political ties and creation of opportunities and pro spects for the benefit of all citizens.
“I am hopeful that through our joint efforts we will create an ambience for an increased dynamics of all processes, thus shortening the waiting time in the European waiting room”, Chairman Tegeltija said in his address to participants of the Summit, finishing by referring to a need for deepening of mutual confidence and confidence in the EU enlargement process.
