Chairman Tegeltija at Investment Conference

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija took part at “Invest to Srpska”, the second investment conference in Prijedor, organised by the Investment-Development Bank of Republika Srpska, in cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Srpska. 

Chairman Tegeltija stated that BIH has to overcome the situation of blockage of investment projects, caused by political spites.

Chairman Tegeltija stressed that Republika Srpska has never blocked any investment process to anyone in BIH, adding that Srpska is stable, featured by a stable political and economic system, proving it to be a good investment destination.

He assessed that neither BIH nor Srpska may be self-complacent or compared with the region when it comes to foreign direct investments, whereas two key problems appear evident - political situation and legal insecurity.

According to him, none among the present can influence the perception, especially in the face of stories that started to emerge earlier this year about “a war is about to begin” and when a major European country sends its soldiers to BIH, instead of investors.

“We must overcome the situation of projects blockage in BIH, as we witness how good economic projects have been blocked merely for political spites. I believe that such time will be behind us, and that the state of affairs in Europe following the crisis in Ukraine would bring people to their senses”, Chairman Tegeltija said.

Chairman Tegeltija held a meeting with an economic delegation of the Russian federation at the margins of the Investment Conference, discussing possibilities for investments to Republika Srpska.
