Chairman Tegeletija Talks with Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Radman Grlić

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zoran Tegeltija talked in Sarajevo with Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia Gordan Grlić Radman. 

The meeting, attended by Deputies Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of BIH Bisera Turković and Minister of Finance and Treasury Vjekoslav Bevanda, discussed the topical political and economic issues, with a focus on overcoming the crisis caused by corona virus pandemics, and on possibilities for improvement of cooperation between the two countries in areas of mutual interest, and finally on the European integrations process.

Minister Grlić Radman informed Chairman Tegeltija of the contents of a non-paper on BIH, sent by Croatia to Brussels.

Chairman Tegeltija stressed the commitment of the Council of Ministers to the European integrations with a full respect to constitutional competences of all-level authorities in BIH and Dayton Peace Agreement, along with a constituent application of the coordination mechanism. He pointed out that the fulfilment of conditions to accession to the EU and gaining the candidate status is the priority task of the Council of Ministers, and in that context, he expects the European Union to show more readiness to admit new members.

During the talks, Chairman Tegeltja thanked to the Government of Croatia and Minister Grlić for support add assistance to BIH on its European path, hopeful that BIH would get the candidate status by the end of this year.

They jointly assessed as good the cooperation thus far between the two countries, noting that besides good relations there are certain issues requiring solution-finding through more active bilateral activities on political and expert levels, like sloving of the issue of Trgovska Gora, demarcation and property-legal relations.

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BH welcomed the intensification of cooperation between the two countries in areas of mutual interest, and expressed a special gratitude to Croatia for its assistance and donations made to-date in fight against corona virus.
