Chairman Talks with World Bank Representatives
05/04/2021
The meeting discussed the on-going programme with this financial institution and on new projects in preparation of a great relevance for BIH. The Chairman of the Council of Ministers tanked to the World Bank for its readiness to support and assist BIH.
The portfolio of Bosnia and Herzegovina was assessed as very stable, without concern raising projects, while it appears very import to speed-up the effectiveness of projects implementation in the coming period of time.
On this occasion, Tegeltija underlined a need to secure support to Bosnia and Herzegovina to deal with not only the existing challenges, but new, the corona virus pandemics-generated issues, addressing which might help economic recovery.
Chairman Tegletija said that the post pandemics recovery will require a full engagement of all-level authorities in BIH, in order to improve investment climate, along with needed considerable investments in digital development, education and protection.
Authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina expect a full support of the World Bank, both in technical and financial terms, for structural reforms, primarily health sector reform and public companies reform. In addition, a special attention will be turned to the post-pandemics economic recovery, such as: the BIH Companies’ Recovery and Support Project; Water Supply and Sewage Management Project in BIH; and BIH Agriculture Competitiveness and Resilience Project.
