Bilateral Meeting o Newly-Appointed Chairwoman of Council of Ministers of BIH Krišto with Prime Minister of Republic of Croatia Plenković at World Economic Forum in Davos

Croatia is one of major foreign trade partners of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the level of investments in different areas marks a year-to-year increase.
The interlocutors concluded that the continuation of an intensive cooperation in economy, infrastructure, technology and other areas represents a common interest and priority for both countries.
The two leaders agreed that BIH candidate status is a strong incentive for strengthening of all key segments and preparation for negotiating process for membership in the European Union. The leading role of the Republic of Croatia was confirmed in support to BIH on its European road, and for that, Krišto thanked to Croatian Prime Minister Plenković for a strong political engagement for the sake of European future of BIH.
Also, she stressed the importance of key reforms, in accordance with the adopted 2022-2026 guidelines and principles of executive and legislative authorities at BIH level, which certainly implies an urgent reform of the BIH Election Law, in addition to strengthening of rule of law, together with socio-economic reforms, as key actions in the next four year time period. Stability and functionality of BIH institutions were noted as a guarantee of the European Bosnia and Herzegovina and strong regional relations would contribute to integration of the Western Balkan countries.
Finally, it was reiterated that after confirmation of a new seating of the Council of Ministers of BIH, the first official visit of newly-appointed Chairwoman Borjana Krišto will be paid rightly to the Republic of Croatia. (end)
