BIH Work Team for Development of Reform Plan Held Its 4th Session

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto chaired over the 4th session of the Work Team in Bosnia and Herzegovina for development of Reform Plan for implementation of the Western Balkans Growth Plan, held in hybrid format in Sarajevo. 

The Work Team took note of a piece of information on a need for acceleration of dynamics of activities on adoption of a new list of reforms by the European Commission, on which all Work Team members will reflect by March 29, 2024, and provide their several positions to the Directorate for Economic Planning. The Directorate will subsequently make a consolidated reforms list of for implementation of the Western Balkans Growth Plan, and provide it to the European Commission, so that deadlines included in an ambitious road map may be reached in accelerated pace.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is obliged to provide a consolidated reforms list for the Western Balkans Growth Plan to the European Commission by the beginning of this April. Consultations of the European Commission with EU member-countries will follow, and the process is expected to be finalised by April 26 this year.

The European Commission presented earlier 2024-2027 Western Balkans Growth Plan, so as to enable countries of the region to intensify their reforms and accelerate considerably the extention and growth process of their economies. (end)
