Address by Chairwoman Krišto at Western Balkans Leaders Skopje Meeting

The Future of the Balkans depends primarily of readiness for continuation of cooperation to enable achieving compromise for lasting and sustainable solutions, Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto said in her video address at Skopje Conference gathering representatives of the EU and region. 

The Conference topic was a new EU Growth Package for Western Balkans, worth EU six billion.

“Based on our discussions held to date on this topic, it comes clear that we are all aware of the importance of a sincere dialogue and necessity of our close cooperation both within the region and with the EU”, Chairwoman Krišto said.

Pointing at a fact that there are still a high level of agreement, even consensus when it comes to the approach, she stressed that building-up and implementation of the new Western Balkans Growth Plan represents additional encouragement for all and incentive for additional work.

“In time head, good thing is that we all see it as an historic chance to enable improvement of our economies, and as a tool to help us in accelerated accession process, which is of an extreme importance for us in BIH as we await an urgent opening of negotiations”, the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH said.
