Council of Ministers of BIH Holds Its 15th Extraordinary Session

MINISTER OF FINANCE AND TREASURY AUTHORISED TO ISSUE PROMISSORY NOTE FOR IMF FUNDS WITHDRAWL 

The Council of Ministers of BIH at today’s extraordinary, phone  session, took a decision to authorise the Minister of Finance and Treasury of Bosnia and Herzegovina for issuing a promissory note for withdrawal of resources under the IMF Rapid Financing Instrument in amount of SDR 265.2 million exchangeable to BAM at the day of the funds withdrawal.

The Ministry of Finance and Treasury is to provide the promissory note to the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the funds withdrawn will be allocated under a special decision of the Council of Ministers of BIH, in accordance with a signed-to Letter of Intent.,

The decision takes force as at the day of its adoption, nad ti will be published in the “Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina”.

The Council of Ministers of BIH failed to reach a decision on withdrawal of the IMF Rapid Financing Instrument, the purpose of which would be both meeting of the increased requirements by the health sector and economic stabilisation measures.

The decision was not approved by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BIH, Minister of Security of BIH, Minister of Defence and Deputy Minister for Human Rights and refugees.
