Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Holds Its 49th Extraordinary, Phone, Session

Council of Ministers considered a Negotiations Report for conclusion of an agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union on operative activities implemented by Agency for European Border and Coastal Guard (Frontex) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, held between March 12 and December 18, 2024, and text Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union on Operative Activities Implemented by the Agency for European Border and Coastal Guard in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Council of Ministers of BIH agreed a temporary implementation of the Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union on Operative Activities by the Agency for Border and Coastal Guard in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with the Agreement provisions regulating the issue.
The Ministry of Security should send the Negotiations Report to the BIH Presidency for further legal procedure. With a proposal for signatory of the Agreement to be Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers Borjana Krišto.
The signing of the Agreement and its temporary application is one of the key steps in strengthening operative cooperation of the EU member-countries and competent authorities in BIH in managing migrations and further EU road of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
BIH – EU DIALOGUE ON ADMINISTRATION REFORM CONTINUES
The Council of Ministers of BIH adopted a piece of information by the Directorate for European Integrations of BIH on holding of the eighth meeting of the European Union – Bosnia and Herzegovina Special Group for Public Administration Reform, to be held in Sarajevo on March 12, 2025.
The Directorate for European Integrations will cooperate with all responsible institutions in taking all needed activities for holding of the meeting, while the Chair of the BIH delegation will be at disposal to media for any inquiries as to the meeting. The Chair of the BIH Delegation for a high-level political dialogue will be Minister of Justice Davor Bunoza.
The eighth meeting of the Special Group for Public Administration Reform between the European Union and Bosnia and Herzegovina is expected to unfold on both political and technical levels concerning the most important issues of the public administration reform.
The meeting will be held in accordance with a new approach by the European Commission that implies political dedication in the public administration reform process, which was accepted by Bosnia and Herzegovina under conclusions it made at the 5th Council of Ministers of BIH session of May 21, 2020.
MEETING OF BIH – EU SUB-COMMITTEE FOR INTERNAL MARKET AND COMPETITION
The Council of Ministers of BIH adopted a piece of information by the Directorate for European Integrations of BIH on holding of the eighth meeting of the Sub-Committee for Internal Market and Competition, including the protection of consumers health, to be held in Sarajevo, on March 5, 2025, with a possibility of participation via video-link.
The Directorate for European Integrations should make all needed activities for holding of the meeting, in cooperation with responsible services in BIH and with those of the European Commission, which will be devoted to issues from domain of domestic market, competition and consumers health protection.
Chair of the BIH Delegation Marijana Milić of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations will be at disposal to media for inquiries concerning the eighth meeting of the Sub-Committee for Internal Market and Competition, including Consumers Health Protectoin. (end)
