Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Holds Its 46th Extraordinary Session

AGREEMENT WITH TURKEY ON COOPERATION IN INFRASTRUCTURE AND CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS 

 

The Council of Ministers of BIH, defined the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BIH-tabled Proposal Agreement between the Council of Ministers of BIH and Government of the Republic of Turkey on cooperation in infrastructure and civil construction projects, with Platform for its conclusion.

The Agreement aims the concretisation of further cooperative activities on realisation of infrastructure projects in BIH, especially construction of motorway/fast road Sarajevo-Belgrade-Sarajevo.

The cooperation includes offering favourable financing and project implementation terms, in addition to works execution and technical assistance by experts specialised in personnel training.

A special focus was put on finding financing models through Turkish banks or IFIs, of priority construction and reconstruction of sections of motorway Sarajevo-Pale-Žepče-Tuzla-Bijeljina-Kusmin, in addition to the fast road section Sarajevo-Pale-Rogatica-Višegrad-Vardište, with a connection to Goražde on the Pale-Prača-Hrenovica section.

The BIH Ministry of Communications and Transport will provide the Proposal Agreement to the BIH Presidency for further procedure, with a proposal for the BIH Minister of Communications and Transport to be the BIH signatory thereof.

PREPARATIONS FOR 5^TH MEETING OF EU-BIH SUB-COMMITTEE FOR INNVATIONS, IT SOCIETY AND SOCIAL POLICY 

The Council of Ministers of BIH adopted the Directorate for European Integrations-tabled piece of information on holding of the fifth meeting of the European Union-Bosnia and Herzegovina Sub-Committee for Innovations, IT Society and Social Policy, via video-conference, on March 22, 2021.

In regard to that, a discussion document was adopted and proposal BIH delegation for the meeting approved. The chair of the delegation, Adnan Husić of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BIH should be at disposal to media for possible questions on the meeting.

The Council of Ministers tasked the Directorate for European Integrations to take preparatory activities for the fifth meeting of the Sub-Board, in cooperation with relevant institutions in BIH, and report the meeting proceedings to the Council of Ministers.

CONSENT TOVOTE OF CITISENS FO BULGARIA IN BIH

The Council of Ministers of BIH granted its consent for arranging a polling of Bulgarian citizens in the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria and Sarajevo, on April 4, 2021, in time between 7.00 hrs and 20.00 hrs.

The polling of the citizens of Bulgaria staying in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be organised regarding the elections for the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BIH should inform the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria on the granted consent.
