COORDINATION TEAM FOR WESTERN BALKAN COMMON MARKET APPOINTED 

The Council of Ministers took the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations-proposed Decision to appoint a Coordination Team for Establishment of the Western Balkan Common Market, for the aim of implementation of the Common Regional Market (CRM) Action Plan.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BIH Ljiljana Lovrić was appointed Team Coordinator, while appointed Deputy-Coordinators are representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, Security, Civil Affairs, Finances and Treasury, Communications and Transport, Defence, and Indirect Taxation Administration.

The Coordination Team initiates and proposes to the Council of Ministers measures and activities within responsibility of Bosnia and Herzegovina Institutions, in cooperation with all-level BIH authorities for the purpose of the Action Plan measures implementation.

An Initiative on Establishment of the Common Regional Market along with 2021-2024 Action Plan were agreed by the 2020 Sofia Summit. The European Union adopted a Decree on a new Western Balkan Growth Plan, containing four pillars, two of which refer to the Common Regional Market, and are related to economic integration to the EU Single Market, in addition to improved economic integration within the Western Balkans.
