Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Holds Its 26th Session

DRAFT BUDGET CONSIDERED 

The Council of Ministers of BIH considered a Draft Law on Budget of Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and International Obligations of Bosnia and Herzegovina for year 2021, and will reflect on it at its next session, when the Ministry of Finance and Treasury considers all suggestions received.

Ministers considered a Proposal on basic salary level of employees of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2021, the application of which depends on the adopted Budget of Institutions of BIH.

The Ministry of Finance and Treasury drafts a proposal law on budget of BIH institutions and provides it to the Council of Ministers for defining, and subsequent proposing by the BIH Presidency.

 

NO DECISION ON SPECIAL PROTECTIVE MEASURES FOR IMPORT OF CERTAIN GOODS FROM EU

 

The Council of Ministers of BH failed to reach consensus on special protective measures for import of certain European Union-originating products, after two rounds of vote, resulting in eleven to three votes.

It is about measures proposed by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations on import of fresh and frozen beef and pork from EU countries, referring to an increase of customs rate for 10% plus KM 2.5/kg for beef, and 10% plus KM 1.5/kg for pork.

 

MEETING OF EU-BIH SPECIAL GROUP ON PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION REFORM

 

The Council of Ministers of BIH took note of a piece of information by the Directorate for European Integrations on the 5^th meeting of the European Union-Bosnia and Herzegovina special group for public administration reform, to be held via video-link on February 25, 2021.

The session adopted the discussion document, and gave its consent to composition of the BIH delegation, after the Council of Ministers took note of a draft agenda.

The chairman of the BIH delegation in the high political dialogue part of will be the Minister of Justice Josip Grubeša.
