Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Holds Its 23rd Extraordinary Session

WORK GROUP APPOINTED FOR DEVELOPMENT OF WESTERN BALKANS GROWTH PLAN 

The Council of Ministers of BIH took a decision to appoint a Work Group in Bosnia and Herzegovina for development of Reforms Plan for implementation of the Western Balkans Growth Plan, to be chaired over by Borjana Krišto, Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH.

The Work Group members are Prime Ministers of the Federation of BIH and Republika Srpska Nermin Nikšić and Radovan Višković, respectively, and State Ministers of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Staša Košarac, of Communications and Transport Edin Forto, of Finance and Treasury Srđan Amidžić, and of Justice Davor Bunoza, as well as Entity Finance Ministers Toni Kraljević and Zora Vidović. The Work Group includes 10 Cantonal Prime Misntiers, namely Predrag Čović, Marija Buhač, Tahir Lendo, Ivan Vukadin, Nihad Uk, Edun Ćulov, Irfan Haliajić, Đuro Tipić. Nezir Pivić, Nijaz Hušić and Mayor of the Brčko District of BIH Zijad Nišić, together with Directors of the Directorate for Economic Planning Zoran Zeljko and of Directorate for European Integrations Elvira Habota.

The Work Team is responsible for development of the Reforms Plan for implementation of the Western Balkans Growth Plan in compliance with deadlines to be set by the European Commission as a part of the Growth Plan.

Earlier, the session adopted the Directorate for Economic Planning of BIH piece of information on activities of the Council of Ministers ad hoc work team for development of Reforms Plan for implementation of the Western Balkans Growth Plan, appointed in end November last year. The ad hoc team completed its assignment by developing an inceptive draft reforms plan, which was sent to the European Commission in early December 2023.
