Council of Ministers of BIH Holds Its 67th Extraordinary Phone Session

The Council of Ministers of BIH took a decision on temporary ban of exp0ort of certain forest products, wood and wood products for heating. 

The aim of the decision is to secure necessary quantities for wood-processing industry, moving off a threat of serious and irreparable damage to forests in Bosnia and Herzegovina, prevention of critical shortage of these products for citizens and economy, caused by global energy crisis.

The decision will be published in the “Official Gazette of BIH” and will start to be applied 90 days from its taking effect.

Upon the expiry of its effect, the Council of Ministers of BIH may prolong protective measures provided for by the decision, based on proposals and reports from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BIH on effects of its application, until the fulfilment of an aim of imposition of the temporary ban of export.

The Council of Ministers of BIH may reconsider the application of the decision before its expiry in case of the fulfilled aims of its adoption, based on the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations report presented. (end)
