Council of Ministers of BIH Holds Its 33rd Extraordinary, Phone, Session SAA IMPLEMENTATION: EXTENDED COMPETENCE TO MINISTRY OF FINANCE AND TREASURY CENTAL HARMONISATION UNIT 

The Council of Ministers of BIH took agreed-to decision to set-up a Central Harmonisation Unit (CHU) within the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which extends its competences to financial control and management, pursuant to an earlier adopted Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Financing of BIH Institutions.

Thus, MFiT CHU capacities are strengthened and financial management and control system improved, including internal audit and relevant training, in accordance with the Stabilisation and Accession Agreement between the European Communities and their member countries and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

An earlier, 2009 decision, the focus of the MFiT CHU was at internal audit, in accordance with the Law on Internal Audit of BIH Institutions, which also sets forth the establishment of this institution.(end)
