BOARDS FOR INTERNAL POLICY AND ECONOMY ESTABLISHED 

The Council of Ministers of BIH held its first session in the new seeting, where it took decisions on appointment of chairs and members of the Internal Policy Board and Economy Board, and standing bodies of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina necessary for regular operation and functioning.

According to the Law on Council of Ministers of BIH, before a discussion at the Council of Ministers of BIH session, all issues from responsibility of the Council of Ministers of BIH which fall within the Boards activities should be previously discussed at Boards meetings.

The Internal Policy Board will be chaired over by Deputy Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defence Zuhan Helez, and his deputy will be Minister of Justice Davor Bunoza. The Board members are Minister of Civil Affairs Dubraka Bošnjak, Minister of Security Nenad Nešić, Minister for Human Rights and Refugees Selvid Hurtić, Director of the Directorate for Euroepan Integrations Edin Dilberović, Head of the Legislation Office Džemail Ćibo, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Robert Vidović, Advisor to the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers Nikola Lovrenović, as well as Brčko District of BIH Coordinator with the Council of Ministers of BIH Miroslav Gavrić, with no vote power.

The Economy Board will be chaired over by Minister of Foreign Trade and Economci Relations Staša Košarac, and his deputy will be Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmedin Konaković.

Members of the Board are Deputy Chairwoman of the Council of Minsiter and Minister of Finance and Treasury Zoran Tegeltija, Minister of Communications and Transport Edin Forto, Director of the Directorate for European Inregrations Edin Dilberović, Head of the Legislation Office Džemail Ćibo, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Robert Vidović, Advisor to Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers Niko Duvnjak, as well as Brčko District of BIH Coordinator with the Council of Ministers of BIH Miroslav Gavrić, without vote power.

Chairmen and their deputies rotate at the chair post annually, and in case of absence of a Minister at a Board Session, the alternate will be Deputy Minister, having provided a written authorisation by Minister.

PROPOSED GUVERNORS IN INTNERATIONAL FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS

The Council of Ministers passed a conclusion proposing representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina in international financial institutions, namely, the World Bank, International Monetary Fund and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will provide the proposal to the BiH Presidency for further decision-making procedure.

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto was proposed for Governor in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Staša Košarac was proposed for her Deputy Governor.

Minister of Finance and Treasury of BIH and Deputy Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers Zoran Tegeltja was proposed for Governor in the World Bank, and Minister of Commutations and Transport Edin Forto was proposed for Deputy Governor.

Minister of Defence and Deputy Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Zukan Elez was proposed for Governor in the International Monetary Fund, and Minister of Civil Affairs Dubravaka Bošnjak was proposed for Deputy Governor.

ENABLED OPERATION OF ANTI-DOPING CONTROL AGENCY AND AGENCY FOR LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT

The Council of Ministers of BIH endorsed a request by the Agency for Labour and Emplyoment of BIH to have Agency Acting Director Vedad Hindija’s term prolonged for the reason of Agency’s regular operation, starting from February 1, 2023 until the closure of relevant ad procedure, but three months at longest.

Vedad Hindija was earlier appointed Acting Director until January 1, 230, as previous Director resigned for the reason of taking a MP term, and the Council of Ministers requested the Ministry of Civil Affairs to publish an ad to fil the vacancy.

Also, Director of the Anti-Doping Control Agency of BIH Slavko Matić was released his duty on his own request, for the reason of taking s MP mandate, and Mijo Krešić was appointed Acting Director for the term of three months, starting from February 2, 2023.

The Ministry of Civil Affairs should publish an ad for selection and appointment of Director of the Agency for Anti-Doping Control of BIH, based on the Law on Ministerial appointments, appointments with the Council of Ministers and other appointments in Bosnia and Herzegovina. (end)
