Council of Ministers of BIH Holds Its 17th Extraordinary Phone Session

The Council of Ministers of BIH took a decision, proposed by the Ministry of Security on allowing a temporary opening of international border crossing in air traffic for passenger transport – Sarajevo Airport for the return of BIH citizens from the Republic of Turkey to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkish citizens from BIH to Turkey. 

The return will be organised on April 28, 2020 by an international air flight Istanbul – Sarajevo – Istanbul, and passengers will get off and get on board at the International Airport Sarajevo.

After landing and before taking off, the passengers will be obliged to comply with all instructions and orders by authorities of BIH (border, epidemiological and health services).

This way, the responsible bodies in BIH take up all measures and activities to enable flights for humanitarian purposes, as well as for the return of BIH citizens from abroad to the country, as organises by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BIH. Also, a repatriation of foreign citizens leaving BIH is made upon a request by diplomatic-consular offices of their respective countries.
