Council of Ministers of BIH Holds Its 12th Extraordinary Phone Session

The Council of Ministers of BIH took a decision, upon a proposal by the Ministry of Security, to ask for international assistance for protection and rescue in fire fighting. 

For the extinguishing of fires, BIH needs aircrafts with crew, as indicated by responsible bodies for civil protection in BIH. The international assistance for fire fighting is taken up by responsible civil protection bodies in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The decision was made upon a request by the Federal Administration of Civil Protection regarding large forest fires and fires at open space in the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the state of natural or other disaster, due to Corona-SARS Cov-2 pandemics, which spread throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, a large number of fires broke out, and the existing resources of the responsible bodies for civil protection and defence institutions of BIH are not enough for tackling with it.
