Council of Ministers Holds Its 71st Extraordinary, Phone Session

ASSISTANCE SOUGTH FOR FIRE FIGHTING IN BIH BY CROATIA CANADAIRS 

The Council of Ministers of BIH took a unanimous decision, at its extraordinary phone session, requesting international assistance for protection and rescue in fire extinguishing in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

An international assistance was required from the Republic of Croatia competent authorities in terms of sending crewed Canadairs to be accepted by the BIH civil protection bodies.

This urgent decision was made by the Council of Ministers in order to help citizens in the Municipalities of Čitluk, Čapljina and Konjic, where rather hostile terrain makes it difficult to distinguish major fire. (end)
