INCREASE OF BIH VOTER’S SHARE IN IDA 

The Council of Ministers of BUH took the Ministry of Foreign Affairs-proposed decision to approve BIH Institutions Budget current reserves funds to the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BIH.

Thus, funds were approved for financing of an increased voter’s’ share of BIH in the International Development Association (IDA) in amount of KM 500k.

The Council of Ministers has earlier showed its interest for the voluntary increase of voters’ share in IDA.

This is for the sake of improvement of international standing of BIH, strengthening of its position with the World Bank Group, and an increase of its voting power with IDA.

The Ministry of Finance and Treasury should prepare a piece of information on current reserves under the Law on Budget of BIH Institutions and international obligations of BIH for 2023 and pass it to the Council of Ministers of BIH.

PROTECTION OF FOOD PROCESSION INDUSTRY IN BIH

The Council of Ministers of BIH took a decision on repeating quantities of tariff quotas in 2023 of 50,000 tonnes for export of raw sugar from sugar cane for refining, for the purpose of food industry in BIH.

Aside from strengthening the only one sugar factory, located in the Brčko District of BIH, this is for protection of domestic companies using sugar as input raw material.

ADMITTANCE TO BIH CITIZENSHIP

The Council of Ministers of BIH took a decision to admit to BIH citizenship football player Adis Jašić, prospective member of BIH national selection, upon a proposal by the Football Federation of BIH.

APPOINTMENTS

The Council of Ministers considered a piece of information on job vacancy ad procedure for selection of three members of the Council of State Aid of Bosnia and Herzegovina. So, released from their posts of a member of the Council were Mira Vujeva, Dženan Selimbegović and Radenka Srndović, as at day of relevant decision taking, to be applied as at publication in the “Official Gazette of BIH”. The Council of Ministers took a decision on appointment of Mira Vujeva and Aleksandar Ćirić for members of the Council for State Aid for a four-year term. The decisions are effective as at day of their adoption and will be applied day after publication thereof in the “Official Gazette of BIH”.

Also, the Council of Ministers took decision to appoint Rašid Kičić for acting member of the Council of State Aid of Bosnia and Herzegovina until the end of relevant job vacancy procedure, for three months at longest. The decision took effect as at its adoption and will be applied day after publication thereof in the “Official Gazette of BIH”.

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations is obliged to start urgently a new job vacancy ad procedure for selection and appointment of a missing member of the Council for State Aid of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with relevant by-laws.

The Council of Ministers took a decision to appoint Adisa Begić for President of the Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina for one-year mandate, starting from July 25, 2023.

The Council of Ministers appointed Mijo Krešić for Acting Director of the Anti-Doping Control Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina until the end of job vacancy ad procedure, for three months at longest, starting from August 4, 2023. The session required an urgent completion of the job vacancy ad procedure.

Also, Vedad Hindija was appointed Acting Director of the Agency for Labour and Employment of Bosnia and Herzegovina until the end of relevant job vacancy procedure, for three months at longest, starting from August 1, 2023, and in this case too, urgent completion of job vacancy ad procedure was required.

The Council of Ministers of BIH took note of a piece of information on mandate expiry of the Director of the General Affairs Service of BIH Institutions. In that regard, Dragan Šojić was released from his duty of Director/Deputy Director of the General Affairs of BIH Institutions. The decision takes effect as at date of its adoption and will be published in the “Official Gazette of BIH”.

At the same time, Jovan Šilj was appointed Acting Director/Deputy Director of the General Affairs Service of Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina until the end of the job vacancy procedure, for three months at longest. The decision takes effect the day following the its adoption and will be published in the “Official Gazette of BIH”. (end)
