Council of Ministers Holds Its 4th Extraordinary, Phone, Session

The Council of Ministers of BIH adopted, at its extraordinary, phone, session the Directorate for Economic Planning-proposed Bosnia and Herzegovina 2023-2025 Economic Reforms Programme (PERBIH), to be passed to the European Commission.
The 2023-2025 Economic Reform Programme was drafted according to the European Commission guidelines, based on attachments provided by competent state and entity institutions.
The focus is at 25 reform measures within structural reforms, recognised by all-level authorities as relevant for boosting competitiveness and removal of obstacles for economic growth and development of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the three-year time span. A part of the Reforms Programme is a macroeconomic and fiscal framework, developed in coordination of the Directorate for Economic Planning and Ministry of Finance and Treasury.
The Programme structural reforms were organised, pursuant to the European Commission guidelines, in 13 areas and include public finance management, green transition digital transformation, business environment, decrease of grey economy, research, development and innovations, market reforms, together with reforms in energy, agriculture, industry and services, education, skills development, employment, labour market, social protection and inclusion, in addition to health care. As three key challenges, there are an increase of labour market effectiveness, improvement of business environment though close cooperation and coordination of all-level authorities and public finance management.
The development of this important document was coordinated by the Directorate for Economic Planning of Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with the Ministry of Finance of Republika Srpska and Federal Institute for Development Programming, in accordance with their competences. (end)
